Intermediate Soldering Skills Course
This is a practically orientated course, which has been designed to satisfy the demand for training in hand soldering skills.
Who Should Attend?
Personnel who have completed an appropriate basic soldering skills course followed by relevant on-the-job experience or those wishing to improve their knowledge and standard of hand soldering

- Learn and practice intermediate hand soldering techniques as used in the manufacture of electronic assemblies.
Course Content
- Soldering tools and equipment
- Practise or refresh, as appropriate, skills covered in the Basic Soldering Course
- Introduction to soldering/desoldering techniques for basic Surface Mount Components (SMC’s) i.e. standard pitch devices.
- Practise at soldering and desoldering basic SMC’s to printed circuits.
- Quality standards and Inspection techniques.
- Rectification of faulty solder joints
